White Pepper (Piper nigrum) is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, known as a peppercorn which contain piperine. It makes as white pepper through the process and loses flavour and aroma through evaporation and exposing to light, so airtight storage helps preserve its spiciness longer.
It is widely used world-over for soups, salads, seasoning, marinading and to add the spicy flavor to foods.
